So far i think this book is really good. I like how everyone thought he was now normal because her got his chip removed but it was really Enders last test.

I agree with you John, but i still don’t think that anyone thought that he was “normal” because he really wasn’t. I LOVE BLOGGING!!!!!!!

Claire, he is now way more normal than before because he has his monitor out, eventhought it was really the last test to get into the Battle school. And since people didnt know it was really his last test, they thought Ender was normal.

Hannah being the third child means that he was the third born. Also he was the last chance of being the kid that go to battle school because peter was too violent, and Valentine was too sweet.Hopefully Ender is the perfect mixture of the both of them.

I think that s far the book is interesting, the only thing that i would change is that i don’t like how he is only 6. I mean think about it. If people took me to battle school at the age of 6, my mom would go crazy. This kind of reminds me of the kids in China that get taken away at a young age to get really good at gymnastics, and soccer and stuff!

THe monitor just keeps track of the person. It “hears” everything that the person says and hears. It also sort of controls them. Read the other comments and you’ll see what thirdy means.

I think the book is very interesting. To be taken away into space at six years old sounds really scary. Ender seams really smart and brave for a siz yr old. Why was it so unusual that Ender got his moniter of so much later than everyone else? Is it proof that the IF wants him?

OK, so you guys are a little lost. Yeah, they took Ender at a young age because he shows potential. Monitor removed so he can think on his own and react on his own. I wish you all had monitors!!!

Hey Mr. Rogers thats a little harsh. Anyways, I really like how Ender is always being challenged. First he is isolated, and then he was moved twice (up to soldier status to Salamander and then to the Rat). But he always finds a way to get past all the obsticals physically, mentally, and emotionaly.

yah definitely! It gives him a chance to show what he knows, because he is a VERY smart 6 year old!

i really liked how he saved the Salamander Army from being defeated, by the Lepoard Army. And i like when he said that he wasnt the one being embaressed, Bonzo was, when he slapped, and punched Ender in the barracks.

Also, is Valentine the sister of Ender? because i always thought that brothers and sisters hated eachother…?

i agree with everyone, and i like this book! its hard to follow at times but i caught on after i read the back. I wasn’t sure if we had to read the introduction?

Taryn, yes Valentine is Ender’s sister. She feels bad for him because Peter always beats him up, he is like a “poor baby” to her so she cares for him!

I like how the Battle School is run were there are different groups, like Rat, that compete against each other to practice fighting. But I think this is a bad idea because the soldiers wont know how to fight with real guns that kill, and not just freezing each other.
